Winchester, TNWinchester is home base. It's where the trailer is parked most nights and where the bulk of our work sits, from the older brick homes near the square out to the newer builds around the lake.
Estill Springs, TNEstill Springs sits right on Tims Ford Lake, and lake property is hard on exteriors. Damp air, heavy shade and tree cover mean decks, docks sides and north-facing walls go green here faster than almost anywhere else we work.
Decherd, TNDecherd runs right up against Winchester, so we're through here constantly. There's a good mix of older homes with concrete that has seen a few decades, and commercial and industrial property where the block walls and loading areas take a beating.
Tullahoma, TNTullahoma is the largest town we serve north of Winchester, a straight run up Highway 41A. It mixes established neighborhoods under heavy, mature tree cover with a long commercial strip, and those two need very different treatment.
Manchester, TNManchester is the Coffee County seat and sits right on I-24, which puts a lot of its commercial property in front of passing traffic. It is the northern edge of the area we cover from Winchester.
Fayetteville, TNFayetteville is the Lincoln County seat and a straight run west for us. It's a town with a lot of brick and a lot of history, and brick takes a gentler wash than people assume if you want to keep the mortar sound.
Lynchburg, TNLynchburg is the Moore County seat, and an unusual town to work in: a large share of the property around the square is visitor facing, so how a building looks from the street is part of how it trades.
Sewanee/Monteagle, TNSewanee and Monteagle sit up on the Cumberland Plateau, and elevation changes the job. It is wetter, foggier and far more shaded up here than it is down in the valley, and that is the combination organic growth likes best.
Shelbyville, TNShelbyville is the Bedford County seat and the furthest northwest we travel. It is horse country, so alongside the houses there are barns, stables, equipment sheds and long concrete aprons that see hard use year round.
Huntland, TNHuntland sits down toward the Alabama line, and it's a part of the county where we do more farm and agricultural work than anywhere else. Metal barns, equipment sheds and long concrete aprons come up constantly.
